When the sun is shinning this has to be one of the best wedding venues in Cardiff and South Wales. Its a relative newcomer to the wedding market, however what it may lack in history it makes up for in beauty and presence. Its just 10 to 15 minutes drive from Cardiff making it really accessible on a wedding day. Whilst it doesn't have any bedroom accommodation for the Bridal Party to get ready there, there are plenty of local hotels which can provide those facilities. What distinguishes Canada Lodge as a wedding venue is the unsurpassed beauty and tranquility of the location. On a beautiful day like the one in our photographs, you will have an endless supply of photographic opportunities right into the evening and sunsets can be magnificent.

Canada Lodge is registered for Civil Weddings and offers a very flexible range of facilities on two storeys. The recent addition of a disable lift makes access to the lower floor and patio area really easy now. And because there is so much space on both levels you never feel closed in like some of the inner city hotels, yet you are never more than a wave away from anyone. From our experience they really offer wedding couples exactly what they want, wether its an informal running finger buffet to a formal "Fine Dinning" experience, they seem able to deliver what couples want.

As professional wedding photographers we love the venue for its sheer beauty. Add to it a very courteous staff, good food, and flexibility and you have a hit, which is why they are probably booked so far in advance. If there is a downside to the venue its their lack of bedroom accommodation, though this isn't really a deal breaker. All the weddings we've photographed there, the bridal party has arranged a bus to take everyone back to their hotel. Personally I think its a great idea having that sense of conclusion to the wedding day and saying fair well to your guests. It has that by gone era feel to it, better than just petering out as all the guests slowly leave one by one.
