Helena & Tom held their marriage and wedding reception at the outstandingly beautiful Usk Castle in Monmouthshire which offers stunning panoramic views down the Usk Valley. With two lovely people and such an amazing locations we had great hopes for wonderful wedding photography.
The morning started with Tom and the groomsmen at the quaint Castle Inn Usk, although the weather forecast threatened rain it was a bright morning with lots of laughs and jokes at Tom's expense. The picturesque village offered at great backdrop for Tom's preparation wedding photographs.
Helena got ready at her family home in Newport, a very relaxed morning with her family and bridesmaid. Helena looked gorgeous in a figure hugging wedding dress with flared ruffled train from the knee, very unusually and stunning. We were so glad we had plenty of time to create some amazing bridal portraits for her preparations.
I am sure everyone was hoping the weather forecast was wrong, with a fabulous marque aloft the highest point in Usk surrounded by the ruins of the 12th Century Usk Castle, sun was all important. However half way through the ceremony the heavens opened and it never stopped all day.
Despite this set back Helena and Tom were determined to capture their beautiful wedding day and create some awesome wedding photography regardless and Elise and I would like to say thanks for doing everything we asked even when it meant getting Helena's dress wet - i hope you will agree the wedding photographs are worth it!
These are just 20 highlights from one of our most memorable wedding days, there are over 830 images for us to prepare so the rest will be a little while yet.
