Inspired by Chris Bonington's successful ascent of Everest in 1975 and the photographs he took on the only camera of three to work at that altitude an Olympus OM1, Keith went into debt to buy his first camera in 1976, an OM1. Living in Birmingham meant regular trips to Patrick Lichfield's (Lord Lichfield) estate to look at his photographic work. Lichfield was radical, creating intoxicating and bold portraits. His photographs were powerful yet he had an almost casual way of recording peoples life events, like Mick & Bianca Jagger in their limousine after their wedding in St Tropez. Keith went on to gain a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Oxford University. Whilst he has photographed a whole range of subjects over his career. It is the the strange mix of outright happiness, flavoured with sweet sorrow of the wedding scene which has captured his heart and led him to become a professional wedding photographer. Keith took ten years out to become a fully accredited Baptist Minister. Conducting numerous marriages has given him a unique understanding of wedding photography. He and his daughter, Elise, work as a close team producing unique, vibrant and emotional wedding photography. With an uncompromising desire for expression, Keith has pursued photographic excellence from the outset of his professional career. He knows that every composition has its own energy and emotion and he strives to capture that power in beautiful and inspiring wedding photography. |
